A Quick Whirlwind trip to Kanchipuram for a overnight stay and Temple visit on 20th and 21st of May 2024
This time it was only me and my mother, to visit temples in Kanchipuram and our plan was to pick my daughter the next day from her hostel on the way back to Bangalore. On my onward journey I had plans to visit some temples before checking in to the hotel in Kanchipuram. Being born and brough up in Chennai and with close proximity to Kanchipuram, it was ironic that in more than 4 decades I never had any opportunity to visit Kanchipuram temples which has significant heritage and popularity. Even though we had travelled innumerable times by car between Bangalore and Chennai, time had not been ripe to visit these temples until this day. It is a guilty feeling that I had taken a COONS AGE to see these temples, but it is better late than never.
